PhytoKeys and Pensoft are heading to the XX International Botanical Congress
The Pensoft team is excited to attend the XX International Botanical Congress (IBC) in Madrid, Spain, from July 21st to 27th, 2024. Attendees interested in Pensoft’s scientific publishing activities and services are invited to visit booth #14 and meet members of the team, including Pensoft's CEO and founder Prof. Dr. Lyubomir Penev.
PhytoKeys Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Sandy Knapp, will also be in attendance. She will be giving the opening lecture, titled "Why botany? Why now?" straight after the opening ceremony on Sunday, 21st July. She will also be chairing the Nomenclature Section of the XX International Botanical Congress taking place during the previous week.
Researchers will have the opportunity to discuss their studies with Pensoft representatives and receive recommendations for journals that best suit their research interests from Pensoft’s extensive open-access journal portfolio.
Pensoft is also proud to present the Best Talk award at the congress. The winner will receive a free publication in the open-access, peer-reviewed journal PhytoKeys.
A highlight of Pensoft’s presence at IBC will be a poster presentation by Michael Pirie, a key contributor to PhytoKeys. He will provide an overview of the ongoing topical collection on the systematics, natural history, and conservation of Erica (Ericaceae).
A special gathering for PhytoKeys editors will take place during the congress, but they will have to wait and see what that entails!
